This role is specifically aimed at ensuring Globe Home Timber & Hardware customers and trades people receive timely delivery of their goods per agreed timeframes ensuring correct quantities and quality of goods.  The candidate also needs to follow safety practices ensuring safe and secure loading and operation of the Globe Trade Centre vehicles.  We require someone with great customer services skills, exceptional personal presentation and the flexibility to do weekend work.  You will be required to work efficiently and productively and have the ability to juggle priorities in a very busy environment.

Some of your duties include but are not limited to;

  • Deliver customer service excellence
  • Handle routine and specialist customer queries and complaints in a professional and helpful manner. Seek support from Management as required
  • Project a professional image by maintaining a neat, tidy and businesslike appearance
  • Provide knowledgeable service and assist customers where required
  • Safe and timely delivery of goods to meet agreed delivery schedules.
  • When the driver is not delivering goods, it is expected that the driver will spend his/her time working efficiently and productively in the Trade Centre. This work will include pulling orders, packing orders, loading vehicles, serving customers, and other duties as requested by the Trade
  • Load and unload vehicles;
  • Report any complaints about delivery, service or quality to Trade Manager
  • Keep vehicles clean and tidy
  • Formally report any damage or problems that occur in the
  • Assist colleagues when required
  • Ensure personal punctuality
  • Communicate effectively with other team members including listening, involving others in decisions, sharing information and empathising with their needs
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately and within agreed timeframes
